Faculty Contract

The UCF Faculty Contract

UCF faculty who are in the bargaining unit have certain rights, protections, privileges, and obligations enshrined in our Collective Bargaining Agreement. Your union’s bargaining team (made up of professors just like you) negotiated this contract with the UCF Administration and Board of Trustees. It is important to emphasize that since it is a mutual agreement, both the UFF leadership and the UCF leadership agree about the contract’s language.

2018-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement (Contract)

The 2018-2021 Contract is in effect! It was ratified by the BOT in 2019, after dozens of weeks of negotiations by out Bargaining Team. It is out first multi-year contract. You can take a look at the current version in PDF – HTML is being added very soon:

Past Faculty Contracts

Below are past faculty contracts, in reverse chronological order:

2015-2018 Contract

Last Contract:  2015-2018

The 2015-2018 Contract is no longer in effect. It has been replaced by the 2019-2020 Contract.

The 2015-2018 Contract was ratified by the BOT on November 19, 2015, and ratified by the bargaining-unit faculty (by a vote of 210-2) on December 8, 2015. Note that in 2016 we bargained Articles 3, 8, 23, and 24. Small timing changes in Article 30 were also agreed to. Changes to those articles were ratified by the faculty and by the BOT in November 2016. And in 2017/2018, we bargained Articles 3 and 23 again. Changes to these articles were ratified by the faculty and by the BOT in January 2018.

You can take a look at the current version (in .pdf or word format) of the contract — with all the aforementioned changes.

UFF leaders,

From Candi,

Thank you to the 40+ chapter leaders who joined the UFF leaders call today. We are all in this together. While some of you are being treated as equal partners in this crisis, many of us are facing uncertainties and shut out of the decision making. We continue to learn from each other and advocate for our students, the public and our members.

Just a reminder to send us any material that you would like to share with other chapters and staff and we can upload to our shared UFF drive. Here is the link to the UFF folder that has guidance and resources for you, including organizing ideas, an info sheet on the difference between impact bargaining and regular bargaining, sample language for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and signed MOUs around the Covid 19 health crisis and more:

NOTE: This is new call information/ignore previous messages. You will be muted automatically. *6 will allow you to unmute on a telephone call or you can mute via the computer link. We will be able to show your live “face” should you choose.

From Marshall

Marshall Ogletree is inviting you to a revised scheduled Zoom meeting.
