Florida Budget Update

Today (Tuesday 27 January) the Governor signed Senate Bill 2-A approving reductions recommended by the Legislature during the January special session. The Governor vetoed a total of $108 million in general revenue reductions and $294 million in trust fund reductions.

For the State University System the Governor vetoed one reduction related to the Florida Energy Consortium. This veto restored $2.18 million to FAU for ocean current technology.

All other reductions to the SUS and the Board General Office were approved.
