United Faculty of Florida (UFF) is the professional association and collective bargaining agent for faculty members of colleges and universities in Florida, and is an affiliate of the Florida Education Association, which is affiliated with both the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. The UFF was elected to represent UCF faculty and other employees in 1976. In 2002, UCF's faculty and professional employees overwhelmingly signed authorization cards to retain our union after the Florida legislature restructured the State University System; more than 70% of us expressed our desire for UFF to continue representing us.
