In the last two rounds of bargaining, UFF-UCF helped faculty obtain salary increases, family tuition at UCF, and more TIP, RIA and sabbatical awards. However, there was one other VERY IMPORTANT item that few faculty know about: a new Phased Retirement Program (PRP) for faculty under 67 years of age. The new PRP applies to all UCF faculty, both those in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP). It allows faculty to work at 50% – 75% workload for one to five years after retirement. At this important workshop, Paul Newman of UCF Human Resources will explain the ins and outs of this excellent new retirement option for UCF faculty.
